🐮 What is Lasso?

At Lasso, we help farmers and ranchers access funding without the stress, so they can focus on the work that really matters. We are a software platform that makes it easy for farmers to find, apply for and win funding for their farm.

<aside> 👋 Who are we… and how did we get here?

Running a farm today means juggling everything—operations, finances, equipment, marketing, all while dealing with rising costs, tight margins, and changing regulations.

There’s funding available to support this work, from government programs to private incentives. But navigating it can be overwhelming, time-consuming, and unclear.

We started Lasso to change that.

Our founders, Nicole and Dávid, met at Stanford while pursuing their MBAs. With backgrounds in engineering, climate, machine learning, and consulting, they saw an opportunity to bring clarity and simplicity to agricultural funding. Since launching, we’ve been recognized by MIT and Stanford, featured on Bloomberg, Poets & Quants, and the BMO Sustainability Leaders and North American Ag podcasts. We’re backed by advisors from Bill Gates's climate fund and leading agricultural institutions like UW Madison and Syracuse University's Dynamic Sustainability Lab.

We’re building the tools to unlock funding at scale for the people who feed and fuel the world.

We have since onboarded 1000s of users, won millions of dollars of funding at a 90% success rate for farmers and agricultural businesses across the country.

At Lasso, we’re building with purpose: helping farmers and ranchers access funding. We’re a small team with big conviction, moving fast, solving real problems, and building practical tools for the people who grow our food and steward our land.

We’re driven by a few core values:

👩‍💻 What is the role?

Lasso is building agriculture’s funding assistant in a box. As a Full-stack Engineer, you’ll work side-by-side with the founders and our engineering team. You will wear many hats on the engineering front, implementing the latest AI tools, and directly impacting our thousands of customers with every change request. You’ll help shape our story, joining as the 7th full-time team member.
